The structure of the figuration in the entire passage in the L.H. (bars 153-156 and 157-160), and particularly the comparison with analogous bar 159, indicate a mistake of the copyist in this place. The absence of a correction in GE may be attributed to the absent before this note (although in a similar situation four bars later, a before the respective note – c2 – was added). The sign is absent also in the majority of the sources featuring the note at the correct pitch – it was added only in EE2. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Accidentals in different octaves , Terzverschreibung error , Errors of GC |

g2 instead of f2 at the last quaver of the bar is certainly a mistake of Chopin in [A]. It is proved by the before the note, present both in FE1 (→FE2) and GC, which originally also included g2. Chopin corrected the mistake in GC and the proofreading of FE3 (→FE4). The erroneous version was passed down to EE1, in which it was revised, by deleting the , which was superfluous before g2. category imprint: Differences between sources; Corrections & alterations issues: Errors in FE , Inaccurate note pitch in A , Authentic corrections of FE , Authentic corrections in GC |

There is no accidental before the top note of the 2nd quaver in GC and FE1 (→FE2→FE3). The patent inaccuracy was corrected in the remaining sources. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: Accidentals in different octaves , Inaccuracies in FE , FE revisions , Inaccuracies in GC |

At the beginning of the 2nd half of the bar before the bottom note of the second, GC and FE1 (→FE2) have one before each of the notes instead of . This easy to detect mistake – none of these flats is necessary at this pitch, whereas a1 appears in the part of the L.H. – was corrected in GE, by adding another before the bottom note. The correct notation is included in FE3 (→FE4) and EE, which in both cases could have been a result of Chopin's intervention. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources; Corrections & alterations issues: EE revisions , Errors in FE , Accidentals in different octaves , GE revisions , Authentic corrections of FE , Errors of GC , Authentic corrections of EE |
