b. 1

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

in GC & GE2

No marking in FE (→EE) & GE1

..

The absence of  in FE (→EE) must be considered an inaccuracy of notation. Most likely, it is a non-corrected oversight of the engraver, although one cannot entirely exclude the possibility that the sign was added by Chopin in GC. In turn, no  in GE1 is a patent oversight. See also bars 5 and 18-19.

b. 5-8

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

Slur in GC (→GE)

No slur in FE (→EE)

..

The slur over this four-bar section could have been added by Chopin in GC (→GE) or overlooked by the engraver of FE (→EE). It seems to be highly unlikely that Chopin intentionally removed this sign.
