Chopin most probably hesitated between e and g on the 2nd quaver in the L.H. Initially – in [A] and the sources based on it – he wrote an e, which he then changed to g in the proofreading of FE3. However, he deleted the latter in FES, restoring e. According to us, both versions are generally equal, whereas in the main text we give the version with which Chopin started and to which he probably eventually returned.

FES deleted the top notes of the chords in bars 73-74 and 81-82, most probably in order to facilitate performance to the pianists with small hands. See bars 19-20.

Similarly as in bar 20, due to Chopin's mistake in [A], the correct notation of the trill appeared in the editions – despite the proofreading of FE3 – only in GE2 and EE2. The mistake was corrected in all pupil's copies.

In the chord on the 4th beat of the bar in FE1 (→FE2→FE3,EE) f was overlooked, the bottom note in the R.H. A respective correction was introduced in FE4 and FE5, as well as in FES.
FE4 and FES overlooked the dot extending the added f.
