No markings in GC (→GE1) & FE1 (→FE2EE,FE3FE4)

Pedalling in FE5 & GE2mar (→GE2)

Pedalling suggested by the editors

..

No pedal in the 1st half of the bar must be considered to be Chopin's oversight – in the entire middle section of Marche, the harmonic pedalling is meticulously marked. A similar conclusion was reached by the revisers of FE5 and GE2mar (→GE2).

b. 55-64

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt III

..

In [A] (→GC) the recapitulation is marked in an abbreviated manner as repetition of the first section. Chopin marked the discussed bars with numbers from 1 to 10, while over the first two he wrote Marche Da Capo. This indication, left either due to distraction or as an additional explanation for the engraver, was not printed – by the way, it was a correct decision – both in FE (→EE) and in GE.

b. 56-60

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt III

No indication in GC (→GE) & FE1 (→FE2)

from bar 56 in FE3 (→FE4,FE5)

from bar 55 in EE

..

The cresc. indication was added – certainly by Chopin – in the proofreading of FE3 (in bar 56) and base text to EE (half a bar earlier).
