b. 2

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt IV

..

GC has a as the last quaver in the L.H. GE corrected this mistake, probably on the basis of comparison with the 1st half of the bar.

b. 8

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt IV

..

In GC the 10th quaver in the L.H. is a g. The mistake was corrected in GE, probably on the basis of analogy to the previous, similarly constructed triplets in this bar and in bar 6.

c1-c2 in GC, FE & Afin

c1-c2 with  in EE

c1-c2 in GE

..

In [A] (→GC,FE), there are no accidentals before the 7th quaver. The logic of the structure of the figuration in bars 9-12 proves that the literal interpretation as c1-cis correct. The undoubtedly justified cautionary naturals were added in EE, which, probably, is, however, a revision. The version of GE with c1-c2, contrary to the remaining sources, indicates a routine approach of the reviser to the Breitkopf & Härtel edition. He introduced the same addition also in bar 46+1, being a repetition of bar 9.

e(1) in Afin

e(1) in GC (→GE) & FE (→EE)

..

The version of Afin, with a written cautionary  before e1, is certainly authentic, however, according to us, it can be considered to be an equal variant with respect to the published version. Afin was performed with a visible haste, without taking care of the accuracy of notation, whereas its fragmentary character excludes its use as a score to perform the music written in it.

b. 12

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt IV

..

In GC (→GE) and FE1 (→FE2EE1) there are no naturals raising the 10th quaver to d1(2), which in this context is a patent oversight. The sign in the R.H. was added in the proofreading of FE3 (→FE4,FE5), whereas in FE5 was added also in the L.H. A natural in the part of the R.H. is also in Afin, in which, due to the abbreviated way of notation of the L.H., it refers to both hands.
