Chopin added the cautionary flats before c-c1 in GC (→GE). They were added – most probably on the basis of GE – also in EE2. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Cautionary accidentals , Authentic corrections in GC |

We do not include the unnecessary cautionary flats before the 9th quaver. Chopin may have written them to differentiate this triplet from the first one in this bar (if it is not a mistake). category imprint: Editorial revisions issues: Cautionary accidentals |

Before the 8th quaver in GC (→GE) and FE there are no accidentals: either a restoring A or a raising a to a. The first possibility – oversight of the cancellation of the sign – seems to be more likely than an oversight of an alteration (Chopin did not forget to, e.g., write flats before c and c1 on the 10th quaver). EE includes naturals here, which in this situation do not have to, however, come from Chopin, as the incompatibility of the parts of both hands required an editorial intervention, even if Chopin did not pay attention to it (the absence of a respective intervention in GE is surprising). category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: EE revisions |

In GC, both the 5th and 9th quaver in the L.H. are written as a G. It also influences the sound of the 7th quaver, which is then to be interpreted as a G. The mistakes were not in GE, in spite of the fact that guessing the correct text of each of the hands requires a more careful analysis. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: GE revisions , Errors of GC |

Same as in bar 63, the absence of accidentals before the 8th quaver creates a doubt whether Chopin had in mind d-d1 or d-d1. In this case, however, we consider cancellations of alterations to be clearly the more likely possibility and we suggest the version with d-d1 as the only one. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Editorial revisions issues: Errors in FE , Errors in EE , Omissions to cancel alteration , Errors in GE , Errors of GC |
