b. 49

composition: Op. 25 No 11, Etude in A minor

in GC (→GE) & EE3

No marking in FE & EE1 (→EE2)

..

It is hard to say how the situation, in which  written in GC (→GE) most probably with the copyist's hand does not appear both in FE and EE1 (→EE2), occurred. In any case, a kind of mistake seems to be more likely (probably an oversight) than removal of this indication by Chopin.

b. 49

composition: Op. 25 No 11, Etude in A minor

Slur under triplet in GC (→GE1), FE & EE

Longer slur in GE2 (→GE3)

..

The longer slur of GE2 (→GE3) is undoubtedly a result of an editorial revision, performed by analogy to Chopin's correction in bar 51. The change could have been certainly considered as justified, however, in the main text we remain with the written, authentic version of GC (→GE1), FE and EE – looking at this bar in GC, Chopin added marcato, yet he did not change the slurring.

b. 49

composition: Op. 25 No 11, Etude in A minor

No fingering in GC (→GE) & EE

Fingering in FE

..

The fingering of FE was probably added by Chopin at the time of proofreading this edition.

b. 50-51

composition: Op. 25 No 11, Etude in A minor

Whole-bar slur in GC (→GE)

Triplet slur in FE

Slur up to bar 51 in EE

..

The shorter ("triplet") slur in FE is the original version, changed by Chopin in GC (→GE) and – probably – in the base text to EE. Similar corrections of slurring were introduced by Chopin in GC also in bars 51 and 52. Not having an insight into the base text of EE, we cannot state whether leading the slur until the beginning of bar 51 in this edition corresponds to Chopin's notation.

b. 50

composition: Op. 25 No 11, Etude in A minor

..

In GC, FE and EE1 (→EE2) there is no  returning a2. This patent inaccuracy was corrected in GE and EE3.
