b. 106

composition: Op. 25 No 10, Etude in B minor

..

FE has F-f and f1-fas the 3rd quaver in the bar. In GC (→GE) Chopin changed the notation to the more rational G-g and g1-g2. He introduced a similar change probably also in the base text to EE, which is proved by the unnecessary sharps left before the 4th quaver.

b. 107

composition: Op. 25 No 10, Etude in B minor

Minims d2 in GC (→GE), EE1 & EE3

d2-f2 in FE & EE2

..

The version of FE is a result of proofreading of this edition – Chopin added f2 minims to the d2 minims, present in the remaining sources (except for EE2, in which the version of FE was introduced). Being the latest, we adopt it to the main text.

b. 107-108

composition: Op. 25 No 10, Etude in B minor

5 long accents in GC, FE & EE

6 long accents in GE1

6 short accents in GE2 #→GE3)

..

Same as in bars 5-6, stating which kind of accents Chopin had on his mind poses a difficult challenge. In GC, FE and EE the last accent in bar 108 is clearly shorter than the previous (and next) and this is the version we give in the main text. The harmonised notation of GE1 and GE2 (→GE3) may be, however, considered as justified alternative versions of these signs.

b. 108

composition: Op. 25 No 10, Etude in B minor

f1 in GC & GE1 (contextual interpretation), EE & GE2 (→GE3)

a1 in FE

..

FE has an aas the 3rd crotchet of the middle voice in the R.H. It is almost certainly the so-called Terzverschreibung error.
In GC (→GE1) the correct note is an f1. This patent error was corrected in GE2 (→GE3), EE also includes the correct version.

b. 108

composition: Op. 25 No 10, Etude in B minor

Octave in GC (→GE1)

Chord in FE, EE & GE2 (→GE3)

..

Lack of the middle note on the 3rd beat of the bar is almost certainly a mistake of GC (→GE1).
In FE the note is present, yet there is no  returning F. EE and GE2 (→GE3) have the correct text.
