One-bar slurs of AT correspond to the specifics of slurring of this autograph (cf. bars 1-2). In later sources, longer slurs underline the smoothness of the figurations' line. category imprint: Differences between sources; Corrections & alterations |

Chopin added the pedalling in bar 16 in GC (→GE) and most probably in the base text to EE. The pedalling in both these bars in FE could have been a result of Chopin proofreading of this edition. After all, it is highly likely that we are dealing only with a difference in notation, as Chopin could have thought applying the pedalling of bar 16 in its literal repetition to be obvious. Similarly in analogous bars 35-36 and 39-40. category imprint: Differences between sources; Corrections & alterations issues: Authentic corrections of FE , Authentic corrections in GC |

The pedalling in the 1st half of the bar may come from Chopin – it could have been added still in the base text to FE or added in a proofreading of this edition. However, it seems to be more likely that we are dealing with a mistake resulting from similarity of the first figures in the L.H. in bars 16-18. It is confirmed by a correction – deleting the sign – in FES. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Annotations in teaching copies , Errors in FE , Annotations in FES |
