b. 91-92

composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor

..

In A the 2nd half of bar 91 and the 1st quaver of bar 92 are provided in the part of the R.H. with staccato dots. Chopin removed them in the proofreading of FE1 – see the next note.

b. 93-94

composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor

5 staccato dots in A

One dot in FE

No marks in GE1

6 dots in EE & GE2 (→GE3GE4)

..

Among the five staccato dots, written in A in the L.H. in the 2nd half of bar 93 and on the 1st quaver in bar 94, FE recreated only the first one, whereas GE1 - none. The signs were added in the remaining editions, adding a dot also on the 2nd quaver in bar 94.

b. 94-95

composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor

No marks in A (→FEGE1)

5 staccato dots in EE

6 dots in GE2 (→GE3GE4)

..

We consider the absence of separate staccato dots for the L.H. in A (→FEGE1) to be an inaccuracy – see bars 70-71. The signs were added in EE (inaccurately – the last dot was overlooked) and GE2 (→GE3GE4). In these sources staccato was added also on the first two quavers in bar 95.

b. 95

composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor

..

Same as in the previous analogous places Chopin removed the staccato dots written in A while proofreading FE1. However, as a result of the inaccurately performed correction, the dots in the 2nd half in bar 95 remained partially visible. GE interpreted the notation correctly, yet in EE these not too visible signs were considered to be valid and, moreover, their counterparts in the part of the L.H. were added.
