b. 69

composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor

d1 in chord in A

c1 in FE (→GE,EE)

..

In A Chopin wrote the middle note of the last chord as d1. It was changed to c1 during the proofreading of FE1, most probably by Chopin. See also bar 73 and 77.

b. 70

composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor

..

We add a cautionary  before e1 in bars 70, 74, 78, 82 (as well as in 90 and 98). A similar addition was performed in GE4 (except for bar 74).

b. 70-71

composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor

4 staccato dots in A

No signs in FE (→GE1)

6 dots in EE & GE2 (→GE3GE4)

..

Omission of the staccato dots in the L.H. in the 2nd half of bar 70 is certainly an oversight of the engraver of FE (→GE1). The first two quavers in the L.H. in bar 71 do not have dots also in A, which is probably related to the graphical layout, in which the part of the R.H. is also entirely written on the bottom stave. All these deficiencies were completed in EE and GE2 (→GE3GE4).

b. 70

composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor

..

FE1 includes an additional dnote in the last chord in the R.H. The mistake, probably caused by an erroneous interpretation of the demisemiquaver beam as a note, was corrected in FE2 (→EE) and GE.

b. 71-72

composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor

Dots & slur from bar 72 in A

Slur from bar 71 in FE (→GE,EE)

..

In the main text, we give a longer slur, with which Chopin replaced staccato dots and the shorter slur of A in the proofreading of FE1. Similar changes were introduced by the composer almost in all analogous places.
