b. 53-68

composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor

..

In A almost the entire repetition of the first section of the Polonaise (bars 50-68) are written in an abbreviated manner, in the form of empty numerated bars, corresponding to bars 2-20.

b. 55-56

composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor

Staccato in A (→FEEE)

No staccato in GE

..

In GE the 2nd half of bar 55 and the entire bar 56 are written without staccato dots. As in bars 7-8 it is probably a mistake. Few oversights also occur in EE1 and EE2.

Accent in A, GE2 (→GE3GE4) & EE2

No mark in FE (→GE1,EE1)

..

The absence of accent in FE (→GE1,EE1) is almost certainly a mistake. The remaining editions added the mark on the basis of analogous bars 9, 113 and 161.
