The absence of the staccato dot in A for G1 in the L.H. in bar 16 is to be considered to be Chopin's oversight - the dots are present in similar bars 14 and 18. Chopin did not correct the mistake in the proofreading of FE, moreover, in FE (→EE) the engravers overlooked also a dot in bar 19, which in A is written in an abbreviated manner, with a repetition sign of the previous bar. In GE1 the sign was placed only in bar 14.
