GE1 was created on the basis of GC and it was not corrected by Chopin. As a result, numerous errors resulting from inaccuracies at the time of copying A were also passed to GE1. The edition is not free from minor errors and inaccuracies, as inversion of the sign in bar 56, change of the pitch in bar 63, or oversight of the slur in bars 155-156. The text also includes arbitrary revisions of the editor, e.g. in the dynamic markings (bar 18).
There is a number of reprints of this edition from 1841-58 with changed price on the title page.
