FE1 was performed on the basis of a copy of FE0, corrected and supplemented by Chopin. The most important corrections making FE distinctive from other editions are:
- changes in the slurring in bars 136-140, 152-165, 257-261, 237-239,
- dynamics of the ending of the piece
- dynamic indications in bar 237 and bar 239,
- change of the upper note of the chord in bar 164.
Chopin added also pedalling, which, in the majority of the cases, coincides with the indications of EE.
FE also includes a number of errors. The most serious ones of FE0, not corrected then by Chopin, are:
- oversight of the note in bar 38, bar 174,
- leaving out crotchet stems in bar 39,
- staccato dot instead of a note in bar 58,
- no rest in bar 100,
- pitch errors in bar 117, 231,
- no clef change in bar 164,
- Terzverschreibung error in bar 196,
- overlooked slurring in bar 210, 230-231,
- rhythmic error in bar 236,
- errors in accidentals.
