b. 6-7

composition: Op. 10 No 6, Etude in E♭ minor

Long accents in A

Different accents in FE & EE3 (→EE4)

One accent in EE2

Short accents in GE

..

Two long accents visible in A were reproduced in FE (→EE; in EE2 the accent in bar 7 was overlooked) in varied ways. GE includes short accents in both bars. There is no reason to assume that Chopin interfered with any of the versions.

 in A (→FEGE1GE2)

No sign in EE2

Long accent in EE3 (→EE4)

 in GE3 (→GE4GE5)

..

In EE2 the  mark was omitted and in EE3 (→EE4) it was added in the form of a long accent over the octave in the L.H. In GE3 (→GE4GE5) the hairpins occupy the entire 1st half of the bar.

composition: Op. 10 No 6, Etude in E♭ minor

Long accents in A

Short accents in FE (→GE)

Short accent in EE

..

The accents in A are undoubtedly long here, which was, however, erroneously reproduced in FE (→GE). In EE the second mark was omitted, certainly by accident.

b. 47-48

composition: Op. 10 No 6, Etude in E♭ minor

..

In EE2 there are no naturals raising d1 to d1 on the 2nd beat of each of these bars. This patent oversight is the most significant defect of this edition.
