Title: | Douze Grandes Etudes || No. 2 |
Dedication: | SON AMI F. LISZT |
In the fourth German edition, next to the edited until then form of a book with six pieces, particular Etudes were published also separately, as a result of which each of them received an additional plate number between 2961 and 2972 and the second independent pagination. In GE4 the text of GE3 was completed and corrected, in particular the process of revision of accidentals was finished, e.g., by eliminating some of unnecessary accidentals (e.g., in bars 7, 21-22, 27, 29, 31). Other revisions include: completed fingering at the beginning of bar 4, added in bar 5, 9 & 13, an additional slur in the L.H. in bars 31-32.
