b. 334

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

Rhythm in EE

Rhythm in GC (→GE1)

Rhythm in FE & GE2

..

Out of the three rhythmic variants in the RH part in this bar only two are definitely authentic :  in GC (>GE1) and   in FE. The rhythm in GC comes as the earlier version and while correcting FE Chopin replaced it with the rhythm consistent with bars 322, 326 and also 342. The EE variant may well be the earliest one of the bar, however we cannot rule out an error here. The editor of GE2 when introducing the FE version most probably unconsciously repeated Chopin's correction made earlier to FE.

b. 335

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

..

In FE  augmenting e to e is indispensable. In other sources it is only a cautionary marking after e1 in the previous bar (it is not there in EE). Similarly in FE  augmenting cto c1As a cautionary accidental it is only used in EE.

b. 336

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

sotto voce in EE & GC (→GE)

No indication in FE

..

We believe there is little chance that Chopin consciously left out sotto voce at any stage of preparing FE.

b. 336-343

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

..

Slur endings in bars 339 and 343 are innacurately notated in GC as the slurs extend over to the rests on the second beat of the bar.

b. 337

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

..

In EEGC and FE1 there is no  augmenting a2 to
a2. This obvious inaccuracy must have been already present in the autograph (such inaccurate notation is quite common in Chopin's autographs). The accidental was added in GE and FE2, which must have been done by the revisors. Compare b. 345.
