At the beginning of the bar A has a short accent, reproduced also in GE2 (→GE3). In the editors' opinion, the use of a long accent here is also admissible. In GE1 (→FE→EE) the mark was omitted.

The indication  is written in A in bar 50, but after the chord on the 3rd beat of the bar. In this way Chopin probably wanted to avoid the superimposing of  on the notes. In GE1 (→FE→EE) the indication appears at the beginning of bar  51. The interpretation of the manuscript adopted in GE2 (→GE3) is consistent with ours, with the addition of an accent under the octave f2-f3.
