In A a few accidentals are missing to the notes that were already altered in other octaves – the flats to g1, g2, g in bar 148 and the naturals to A and a1 in bar 149. The accidentals were added in GE (→FE,EE,IE). category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: Accidentals in different octaves , GE revisions , Last key signature sign , Inaccuracies in A |

In A the marks in these bars are half the length of the one in bar 147 and are definitely long accents. In GE (→FE,EE,IE) they were considered identical with the mark in bar 147, which, according to us, does not comply with Chopin's intention. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Long accents , GE revisions |

The absence of the flats lowering g2(1) to g2(1) at the beginning of the 2nd half of the bar (or at least one of them, as Chopin would often settle for one accidental for a few notes of the same name placed in different octaves) is almost certainly Chopin's mistake. This is indicated by the comparison with bar 146, of which the discussed bar is a variational repetition, and in which g notes are certainly absent. At the same time, this is not a temporary coincidence, since the entire four-bar section (bars 150-153) is, harmonically speaking, a repetition of bars 146-149, kept in the key of E minor. category imprint: Editorial revisions |

The ending of the A slur in bar 153 must be inaccurate. To the main text we adopt the GE interpretation thereof (→EE,IE). The later starting point of the slur in FE is most probably a mistake by the engraver. This slur, together with the one in bar 150, undoubtedly means that the entire quaver sequence should be performed continuously legato, as in similar contexts the division of slurs falling on strong beats was often considered irrelevant. category imprint: Graphic ambiguousness; Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: Errors in FE , Inaccurate slurs in A , GE revisions |
