When interpreted literally, the A version must be erroneous – a chord featuring e would be conceivable if there were, for example, a D chord at the beginning of the next bar, which would result in a correct modulation to the key of G minor. In A the four accents in these bars do not differ in size from the next three ones in bar 43. Nevertheless, in GE (→FE) they were reproduced as long accents, which seem more accurate if we take into account the long rhythmic values of the accented chords.
