The deletions visible in A reveal that the decision concerning the 2nd and 3rd beats of the bar in the L.H. part was changed twice. Two versions were deleted, one of which – most probably the initial one – is identical to the final text (the F1-F minim). In the second deleted version Chopin kept simultaneous chords (including basses) to the end: . category imprint: Corrections & alterations; Source & stylistic information issues: Corrections in A , Chopin's hesitations , Deletions in A |

In A the slur reaches only the 1st crotchet in the bar, which was repeated by all editions. According to us, it is, however, the most glaring example of the inaccuracies concerning the A slurs in this section – cf. the slurs beginning too early or ending too soon in bars 200-201, 204 and 206 as well as at the beginning of lines in bar 203, 213 and 219. Due to this, in the main text we give a slur reaching the 2nd crotchet, in accordance with the musical sense – cf. bar 199. category imprint: Editorial revisions issues: Inaccurate slurs in A |
