b. 81

composition: Op. 49, Fantaisie in F minor

in A (→GE) & EE2

No sign in FE (→EE1)

..

The  hairpin was almost certainly added to A after [FC] had been finished, which explains its absence in FE (→EE1). The other possibility – oversight – is much less likely, since a similar difference is also present in bar 164, 168 and 244, as well as, e.g. 84 or 109, 111 and analog. In EE2 the mark was added after comparing it with GE1.

b. 84

composition: Op. 49, Fantaisie in F minor

in A (→GE) & EE2

No sign in FE (→EE1)

..

As in bar 81, the  hairpin was most probably added to A after [FC] had been finished, which explains its absence in FE (→EE1). In EE2 the mark was added after comparing it with GE1.

b. 85-90

composition: Op. 49, Fantaisie in F minor

of different length in A

Half-bar  in GE

4-quaver  in FE (→EE)

..

In A the first out of four  marks in bars 85-86 and 89-90 is longer than the others. Taking into account both the harmonic scheme and the direction of the R.H. figuration, we have to agree with the engraver of GE, who considered it an inaccuracy. This interpretation is also confirmed by the statistical range of the dynamic hairpins in all 12 similarly built bars – in A 9 are half-bar long (differing by one quaver in one or the other direction), whereas only 3 are slightly longer (most clearly in bar 253 – see the note on that bar). The shorter FE (→EE) marks may have resulted from a combination of the inaccuracies by the copyist in [FC] and by the engraver.

b. 93-97

composition: Op. 49, Fantaisie in F minor

 in A (→GE) & EE2

No sign in FE (→EE1)

..

In bar 93 and 97 the missing  marks in FE (→EE1) are not a mistake. Initially, the marks were probably also absent from A, to which, however, Chopin added them after [FC] had been finished. The situation in subsequent bars (bar 94 and 98) is similar – the varying markings were probably added by Chopin both to A and [FC]. In EE2 the marks were added after GE1.

b. 94

composition: Op. 49, Fantaisie in F minor

Accent in A (→GE)

No mark in FE (→EE)

..

The missing accent in FE (→EE) probably is not an oversight, since Chopin was probably adding various dynamic markings both to A (accent) and [FC], on which FE was based () – see the previous note.
See also the note on the accent in bar 98.
