In FE we can see here "zf", which we change to the correct . We discuss in detail the issue of the Chopinesque notation of forzato and its variants in other sources in the note in bar 1. In GE and EE the abbreviation was arbitrarily revised: zf was replaced by rf.

In FE the last R.H. note is devoid of an accidental. The harmonic context – a cadence in D minor and an e tone present in the preceding bar as well as an analogy with bar 69 prove that we are dealing here with an overlooked . The natural was added both in GE and EE.

Most of the wedges present in FE (→EE) were arbitrarily changed to staccato dots in GE – see the note in bar 7. As the change covers all wedges included in GE, we consider the version of this edition one variant, on this page encompassing 13 marks in bar 79, 89 and 90-91 (except the L.H. quavers in the 2nd half of bar 91). We discuss the omissions of marks in some editions separately – see bar 91 and 92.
