In PE2 minor defects of PE1 were corrected:
- the treble clef in the L.H. in bar 54 was shifted to the right place,
- the arrangement of clefs on the bottom stave at the beginning of bar 124 was corrected. Due to the correction, the arpeggio mark before the 1st L.H. chord was removed,
- performance markings – most probably overlooked in PE1 – on the 1st beat of bar 124 were added, wedges and a
.
The most significant change was an intervention into the contents of the 1st R.H. chord in bar 90, 92 and their repetitions (bar 90/114 and 92/116). In bar 90 the b-d
1-g1 chord was changed to a-c1-g1, while in the next three it was only the initial part of this change that was implemented (b was removed). It does not seem likely that this change could be based on an authentic record.
