b. 121

composition: Op. 29, Impromptu in A♭ major

The sources differ in the rhythmic value of the chord. We give the most natural in this context value of the crotchet present in FE and EE. It cannot be excluded that while writing the quaver in A, Chopin mistakenly copied the version in bar 117.

b. 126-127

composition: Op. 29, Impromptu in A♭ major

A significant part of the differences in the notation of the final chords may be attributed to the errors of interpretation of manuscripts and changes and additions performed by the editors. As a result, it is only the notation in A and EE that differ significantly. However, they also give practically the same sound effect, having regard to the authentic pedalling.

b. 127

composition: Op. 29, Impromptu in A♭ major

..

In A the fermata overlaps the slur, which probably contributed to the error of the engraver of GE who interpreted it as a staccato dot. We double the fermata in the L.H. analogously to FE and EE.
