The sources differ in the rhythmic value of the chord. We give the most natural in this context value of the crotchet present in FE and EE. It cannot be excluded that while writing the quaver in A, Chopin mistakenly copied the version in bar 117.
Lack of the staccato indication in FE may be an oversight.
The staccato dots in EE probably do not render faithfully the manuscript's notation:
– in the case of first editions the position of the dot in the R.H. under the chord is likely to be a result of a common tendency to put the signs (dots, accents, slurs, etc.) on the side of note heads;
– doubling of the indications in the R.H. in the L.H. also belongs to routine editorial actions. Cf. bar 119.
