b. 377-378

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

Beginning of the slur in EE & GC (→GE)

Our suggestion

..

Given the apparently inaccurate notation of sources we suggest a slur based on a corresponding phrasing in bars 117-118.

b. 384-385

composition: Op. 16, Rondo in E♭ major

after 4. quaver in FE

under 4th quaver in GE & EE

..

In GE and EE, the earlier placement of the  markings is unintentional, resulting from an inept layout of text. There is a similar situation in bars 392-393.

Slur in FE

Slurs in EE

..

The slurs/ties added in FE and EE, although certainly inauthentic, most probably correspond to the performance intended by Chopin.
The second slur added in EE is incomplete – its ending in bar 384 was omitted, in a new line.
