Issues : Errors repeated in EE

b. 24

composition: Op. 30 No. 1, Mazurka in C minor

..

The sources do not include a  restoring b on the 3rd beat of the bar, which means that this accidental was also absent in [A]. In the main text, we correct this oversight, patent in this harmonic context and generally fairly typical of Chopin.

b. 25-28

composition: Op. 28 No. 19, Prelude in E♭ major

..

In A (→FC,FE) there are no flats lowering to D in b. 25, d2 to d2 in b. 26 and g to g in b. 28. GE and EE2 added all necessary accidentals, whereas EE1 – only those in b. 25 and 28.

b. 25

composition: Op. 44, Polonaise in F♯ minor

..

In FE (→EE1) the  lowering g to g is missing. This patent oversight, probably by Chopin himself, was corrected in EE2.

b. 28

composition: Op. 28 No. 21, Prelude in B♭ major

..

In the sources there is no  lowering d1 to d1. Chopin's attention was caught by the beginning of the bar – he removed g1 from the 1st quaver; he also crossed out the second one and rewrote it next to it.

3-note slurs in A & GE2

4- & 5-note slurs in GE1

5-note slurs in FE (→EE)

..

The range of the slurs of the R.H. in A is beyond doubt, although none of them transcends the bar line (cf. the slurs in the L.H., written more accurately). The slurs of GE1 surprise with their inaccuracy, and the ones of FE (→EE) even more. The notation of A was interpreted correctly only in GE2.
