Issues : Inaccuracies in A

b. 3-11

composition: Op. 28 No. 19, Prelude in E♭ major

..

In A (→FC,FE), there are no naturals raising b to b in b. 3 and 11. Similar inaccuracies in the notation of notes separated by an octave are often to be found in the Preludes; in this one and in some others, they are even a rule – cf. e.g. the Prelude in F Minor No. 8, b. 1-4. The accidentals were added in GE and EE.
Similarly in b. 35.

on 5th quaver in A (another reading→FC)

on 3. beat in A (possible reading→FEEE)

The position of the second  marking in this bar in A (→FC) is questionable. It is placed under the 2nd and 3rd quavers of the middle triplet (due to the correction of the 2nd quaver, they are very close to each other); it can also be assigned to the 1st note of the 3rd triplet (the version of GE is almost certainly contrary to the idea of Chopin). According to us, in A it seems that the mark should be associated with f on the 6th quaver of the bar, whereas in FC with b on the 5th one. Along with the version of FE, it exhausts the possibilities of a direct interpretation of this notation.
We suggest two more solutions drawn from the unequivocal, authentic pedalling of similar phrases in b. 5 and 17.
A similar situation can be found in b. 39.

In A there is no  lowering g1 to g1 in the 1st triplet and no  raising f1 to f1 in the 3rd triplet. What is more, the crossing-out before the first note suggests that Chopin crossed out the initially written  (see b. 29). The accidentals were added in GE and EE2 (in EE1 only the ).

b. 17-20

composition: Op. 28 No. 19, Prelude in E♭ major

..

In A (→FC,FE) there are no flats lowering D to D in b. 17, g to g in b. 18 and 20 and d2 to d2 in b. 18. Some of them were added in GE (only both in b. 18) and EE1 (all in the L.H.); however, it is only EE2 that contains the correct text.

b. 21

composition: Op. 28 No. 19, Prelude in E♭ major

..

In A (→FC,FE) there are no accidentals in the 2nd L.H. triplet. Out of the two necessary flats, in GE and EE only one was added, the one lowering g to g.
