Change of the time signature from to is one of the most characteristic inaccuracies of first editions of Chopin's works – see e.g. the Sonata in B minor, Op. 35, 1st mov., bar 1. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in GE , 4/4 or 2/2 , Errors repeated in FE , Errors repeated in EE |

In EE the accents in the first four bars, just like in the practically entire piece, are short. It is an arbitrary change of the revisers. Long accents, most probably written by Chopin in [A], are present here only in FE. The first three accents of GE introduce a certain ambiguity, since their typeface is slightly different (they are narrower) than of the remaining marks in this source – perhaps they are also supposed to be interpreted as long. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in GE , GE revisions |

In FE there are no separate fermatas for the octaves in the L.H. The marks were added by the revisers of GE and EE. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Inaccuracies in FE , GE revisions |

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

The use of the adverb suffix -mente was characteristic for pieces of young Chopin. In the main text, we include the proofreading – probably by Chopin – in FE (→EE). In EE, in addition, the older, obsolete form simplice was replaced with its contemporary counterpart semplice. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions , Authentic corrections of FE |

In A the raising e2 to e2 is absent. It is difficult to explain this oversight other than by haste. The mistake was corrected already in GE1 (→FE→EE,→GE2). In analogous bar 325 a correct sign is present in all sources. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors of A , Authentic corrections of GE |
