The absence of the slur emphasising the A-B bass step is most probably Chopin's oversight. The slur was added by the revisers of EE and GE2.

Both top slurs in the L.H. in bar 316 and the first one in bar 318 embrace in EE four quavers each, in spite of the fact that in A (→GE→FE) the slurs continue the slurring scheme from bar 315. It is probably a revision unifying the slurs in bars 316-318, based on the erroneous slurs of FE in bar 317 and 318.

In FE, both the  raising a2 to a2 in bar 316 and the  raising c3 to c3 in bar 317 are missing. These patent inaccuracies, most probably repeated after [A], were corrected both in GE and EE. The latter was added also in FED.

In this context, the missing dynamic indication in FE (→EE) must be considered an inaccuracy. Therefore, we suggest leggieriss. in the main text, with which Chopin provided that sequence in both of their previous appearances (bars 48 and 88). In the discussed bar, two other indications appearing in analogous places – Solo and  – are still missing, which seems to indicate that this fragment of [A] was developed in a less accurate manner.
