b. 456-457

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

Slurs to g2 in FE (→GE,EE)

Slurs to c3 suggested by the editors

..

The notation of the sources suggests that the slurs reach only the bottom note of the g2-c3 fourth. It is unjustified in terms of the pianistic reality, which is proven by, e.g. the notation of an abbreviated version of these motifs in bars 458-459 – the entire fourth is an integral part of the passage, both at the beginning and at the end. Due to the above reason, in the main text we lead the slurs to c3, which is confirmed by the notation of bars 464 and 468 and, in a way, also of bar 461.

b. 457

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

 in EE

GC (→GE)

 in FE

..

The asterisk  is placed differently in different sources. We take the version of EE and GC (→GE) as it is consistent with the notation of most analogous places and blends naturally with the notation of the rhythm.

b. 457-458

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

Slur from 2nd beat in A & GE2

Slur from first beat in GE1 (→FEEE)

..

GE1 (→FEEE) interpreted the slightly inaccurate slur of A to be starting from the beginning of the bar, which is certainly a mistake.

b. 457-465

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

..

In the main text we add cautionary naturals before ain bars 457 and 465. The signs were added already in EE.
