b. 324-325

composition: Op. 2, Variations, complete

..

As in bars 321-322, Chopin did not write in A accidentals to the last semiquaver of each beat of these bars. All necessary accidentals were already added in GE (→FE,EE).

b. 325

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

 in EE & GC (→GE)

No marking in FE

Our suggestion

..

Just like in the case of other execution markings in this part (form b. 327), no  in FE  may have been Chopin's momentary lack of focus while writing [A2]. Since there is no  in any of the sources, we propose appropriate supplementation in b. 339.

b. 325

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

..

In the main text we add cautionary flats before din the R.H. and in the L.H. When reading less carefully, it would be tempting to use a diminished four-note chord, well liked by Chopin, which, to a certain extent, is confirmed by the  written before din the 1st violin part in Morch

Single slurs in A (→GEFE)

Double slurs in EE

..

The additional slurs in bars 325 and 333 must be a revision of EE. Such double slurs were added also in the places where they are absent in the previous sources – cf. bars 326-328 and 334.

a tempo in #Rorch

(a tempo) suggested by the editors

..

In this case – cf. bar 313 – a return to tempo primo at the recapitulation of the main theme is obvious to the pianist. However, it is not that obvious to the strings, performing a non-characteristic accompaniment. This explains the omission of a tempo in A (→GEFEEE). In the main text we suggest it in a variant form.
