b. 178

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

FE (→EE1) has b as the 3rd semiquaver. Corrections of this mistake made in pencil are in FED and FEJ, the correct text was introduced also in EE2 (→EE3).

b. 178-179

composition: Op. 19, Bolero

Slur in FE (→EE)

..

In FE (→EE), the slur ends with the last note in bar 178. In the proofreading of GE it was extended – most probably by Chopin – to the 2nd semiquaver in the next bar.

b. 178-184

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

..

In the part of the L.H., these bars are written in A in an abbreviated manner as repetitions of bar 177. The abbreviations were elaborated in GE (→FEEE).

Whole-bar slur in A & GE2

2 slurs in GE1 (→FEEE)

..

In the main text we give the legible and complete notation of A and GE2. The additional slur over the quaver triplet, present in GE1 (→FEEE), is almost certainly inauthentic – it is possible that both here and in bar 180 only the triplet slurs were initially printed, which Chopin corrected in the discussed bar, by adding a slur compliant with the notation of A.
