b. 89

composition: Op. 2, Variations, complete

..

As was the case with b. 69, in most sources (except FESB) the syncopated c2 crotchet is prolonged with two dots, which results in an excessive number of rhythmic values – 5 quavers in the bar. The mistake was noticed and corrected (graphically awkwardly) only in FESB.

b. 95-96

composition: Op. 44, Polonaise in F♯ minor

..

In these bars Chopin overlooked the naturals lowering g(1) to g(1). It is proven by the absence of those accidentals in FE (→EE) and by the fact that they were added in print in GE, which is indicated by the gaps between the notes. The authenticity of the additions to GE is not confirmed, yet Chopin's mistake is evidenced by analogous b. 119-120, in which accidentals are present in all sources.

b. 97

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

..

In FE (→GE1GE2), the upper note of the last quaver in the L.H. is an erroneous f1.  The mistake was rectified in EE and GE3.

b. 102-103

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

..

In GE, the 2nd and 3rd triplets in bar 102 and the 1st and 2nd triplets in bar 103 were provided with an octave sign, so they are written an octave too high. The mistake stemmed from a change performed in the notation of this fragment – Chopin wrote it using an octave sign, whereas in GE1, planning on omitting 8 - - -, the notes were printed at the actual pitch, yet the octave sign was left by mistake. The error was corrected, probably by Chopin, in FE (→EE1), but it was unnoticed by the reviser of GE2. The erroneous octave sign was introduced also in EE2; EE3 restored the correct text.

b. 103

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt II

g2 in FE (→EE)

b2 in GE

..

The version of GE is almost certainly a Terzverschreibung mistake, probably committed in FE, in which Chopin, however, corrected it in the last phase of proofreading. Taking into account the traces of corrections, a similar mistake was committed and corrected in FE also in the last figure in the previous bar.
