Issues : Wedges
b. 94
|
composition: Op. 24 No. 4, Mazurka in B♭ minor
..
The two distinct wedges visible in A were reproduced in GE (→FE→EE) as dots, and in EE the first of them was omitted. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Wedges |

b. 94
|
composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt II
..
Like in the case of the slur, the missing wedges over the 1st quaver in the bar (in both hands) in GE prove that Chopin most probably added them in the last phase of proofreading of FE (→EE). category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Authentic corrections of FE , Wedges |

b. 96-97
|
composition: Op. 24 No. 2, Mazurka in C major
..
On the 2nd and the 3rd beat of the bar in the main text we give the articulation marks (a wedge and a slur) written in A. Despite the clear notation of A, the staccato sign was omitted from GE1 (→FE→EE) and the beginning of the slur placed right above the crotchet b1. The slurring error was corrected in GE2 (→GE3) and staccato marked again, this time with a dot. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in GE , GE revisions , Wedges |

composition: Op. 25 No 11, Etude in A minor

Lack of staccato signs in GE1 is most probably an oversight, yet the wedges added in GE2 (→GE3) – incompatible with the distinct dots of GC and of the remaining sources – correct this mistake only partially. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in GE , GE revisions , Wedges |

composition: Op. 24 No. 2, Mazurka in C major

The evident staccato sign in A, which in our opinion should be read as a wedge, was omitted from GE1 (→FE→EE1→EE2). A dot was added in GE2 (→GE3) to rectify that error. EE3 has an accent added instead, probably by analogy to bars 15 and 19. We base our main text on A. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in GE , GE revisions , Wedges |
