kasowniki obniżające ais2 na a2 w t. ?????), jak i ostrzegawczych (np.  przed pierwszym gis1 w ???? lub kasowniki przed c1 i c w t. ???/). Ponadto

EE3 returned the overlooked in EE2 dedication, by placing it above the note text of the 1st page of the Etude in A major, No. 1. Among the changes in the note text, changes introduced undoubtedly or probably under the influence of comparison with GE1 prevail :

  • certain – the  raising e3 to e3 in bar 26, the metronome indication for the middle section (bar 31), rit. indications in bars 45 and 65, deletion of the tie sustaining F in bars 95-96;
  • possible – addition of a  returning c in bar 18, addition of b at the end of bar 32, deletion of the note in bars 60 and 80, deletion of f2 minims in bar 107 (all the deletions concern the notes added in EE2).

In spite of numerous additions and corrections, certain inaccuracies remained unnoticed, e.g., the missing accidentals mentioned in the characteristics of EE2.

The copy presented in mUltimate Chopin comes from a later (ca. 1862) impression, endorsed by Wessel's successor, the Ashdown & Parry company. The changes in relation to the original impression of Wessel (whose copy the editors of mUltimate Chopin did not find) most probably concerned only the details of the cover – above all, the company's name was updated (cf. the cover of the first book of the Etudes).
