Second impression of FE1, corrected by Chopin.
For the dating see the description of FE1 in the Mazurka in B, no. 1.
Chopin introduced the following changes while proofreading FE2:
- changed the position of the accompanying chords and the bass register in bars 5-7,
- changed the lowest note of the accompaniment chords in bar 13 from g
to f, - removed the superfluous slur in bar 14,
- corrected the number of flats in the key signature in the middle section of the Mazurka (added a fifth flat) – bars 33-48,
- completed the overlooked continuation of the slur in bar 66,
- changed the notes of the chord in bar 72 from g-c1-e1 to g-c1-g1.
In FE2 the patent mistake in the theme melody in bar 69 was corrected by changing the erroneous f1 note to g1. The remaining mistakes or inaccuracies (listed in the description of FE1) were not corrected.
