Issues : Errors in FE
b. 113-124
|
composition: Op. 44, Polonaise in F♯ minor
..
In comparison with b. 83-102, the staccato dots are less carefully marked here (there are many omissions). Unlike there, it concerns GE to a greater extent; however, it does not seem that the differences between the sources and analogous places were something more than mere inaccuracies of notation. Taking into account the above, in the main text we provide all R.H. quavers and semiquavers with dots (except the octaves beginning the bars). category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions , Errors in FE , Errors in EE , Errors in GE , GE revisions |

composition: Op. 44, Polonaise in F♯ minor

There is no cautionary to f2 before the 1st R.H. quaver in FE (→EE1) and GE. In this context it is a patent inaccuracy (probably by Chopin) – two cautionary accidentals are present in all sources both 2 bars further and in the first phrase of this section, in b. 131, 133 and 135. The accidental was added in EE2 (→EE3). category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in FE , Inaccuracies in FE , Cautionary accidentals |

In FE the missing restoring b1 is almost certainly an oversight, which is proven by the compliant and flawless text of all sources in analogous b. 231 – f1 and not f1. The mistake was repeated in EE1, yet noticed and corrected in EE2 (→EE3). category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in FE , Errors repeated in EE |

In FE (→EE1) the dots prolonging the E and b minims were overlooked. The mistake was corrected in EE2 (→EE3). See also the next note. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in FE , Errors repeated in EE |
