GE2 corrected – in the entire Op. 28 – many errors of GE1, but also introduced a number of arbitrary revisions. In this Prelude the most significant revision – arbitrary and most probably incorrect – was the change of the 3rd R.H. quaver in b. 1 and 33 from e1 to g1. Moreover, the penultimate L.H. note in b. 49 was changed from g to b, which, however, is much more justified (possible mistake of Chopin). Another addition was the cresc. - - - indication in b. 29-32, probably on the basis of FE.
GE2 corrected all pitch mistakes committed in GE1.
