AI is not titled, and the dedication written there differs from the later one that Chopin wrote for the entire opus in A (→GE→FE→EE). The replacement of 4 Mazurkas with Quatre Mazurkas in FE and GE2 does not change the content of the authentic title from A (→GE1). However, the addition to the title in EE is definitely inauthentic; the English editor used to add the expression Souvenir de la Pologne to each consecutive opus of Chopin's mazurkas.

In A (→GE1→FE→EE), is written at the beginning of bar 7. In A this bar is the first in a new line, and the mark is placed distinctly before the first notes. Account taken of the phrasing, such a placement of the mark suggests it being effective from the last quaver of bar 6. This interpretation is confirmed by the notation of A in the analogous bar 30.
