First French edition based on A, in which the whole cycle of Preludes was divided into two books, 12 pieces each. Chopin did not participate in its preparation – the proofreading of FE1, which included supplemented accidentals and pedalling, was conducted by Julian Fontana. For a general description of FE1 in the entire Op. 28 – see Prelude in C no. 1.
In the Prelude in A minor the patent mistakes include the overlooked in b. 10-11 and arpeggio sign in b. 22. However, the other inaccuracies also significantly distorted the text of the Prelude:
