b. 151
|
composition: Op. 43, Tarantella
..
In A octave e-e in the second half of bars 151, 155 and 159 in LH is a crotchet without augmentation dots or rests. It seems more correct to complete the rhythm with a rest, as Chopin notated it in corresponding b. 163. Augmentation dots in the discussed bars in FC3 (→FE→IE), GE and EE were most probably added by the copyist. b. 152

composition: Op. 43, Tarantella

In EE the chord on the second beat in the LH part is a dotted crotchet, while in other sources we find a crotchet and a quaver rest. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions |

b. 152-155
|
composition: Op. 43, Tarantella
..
In sources bars 152-155 are slurred differently. We see differences mainly in the first half of the phrase. Given it is a grace notes phrase we may assume GE to be the copyist's arbitrary interpretation. Similarly, EE version with a slur beginning in the middle of b. 154 also seems little probable. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , GE revisions |

b. 153
|
composition: Op. 43, Tarantella
..
In A at the beginning of b. 153 (and b. 161 marked as repeat) third c1-e1 is not dotted. Such notation seems more natural to accomodate the phrasing, so we retain it in the main text, even though in corresponding b. 149 (157) there are augmentation dots.
