b. 631-632
|
composition: Op. 31, Scherzo in B♭ minor
..
In both manuscripts the slur clearly reaches b. 632, although due to the absence of text in this bar – b. 632 opens a section written in an abbreviated manner as repetition of b. 181-244 – it may be considered an inaccuracy. It was regarded as such both in FE and GE. In turn, EE contain the correct slur, probably under the influence of b. 180-181. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Inaccuracies in GE , Inaccuracies in FE |

b. 632-657
|
composition: Op. 31, Scherzo in B♭ minor
..
In both manuscripts the next 64 bars are written in an abbreviated manner as repetition of b. 181-244. Chopin restricted himself to marking the empty bars and indicated the numbers of two pages of the manuscript, numbering 32 bars each, that are to be taken into account again as b. 632-695. category imprint: Differences between sources; Source & stylistic information issues: Abbreviated notation of A |

b. 636
|
composition: Op. 31, Scherzo in B♭ minor
..
In both manuscripts, this bar is a literal repetition of b. 185 (it is not written out in full), and like there, the oversight of a sign in FC resulted in GE lacking it. category imprint: Differences between sources |

b. 637-639
|
composition: Op. 31, Scherzo in B♭ minor
..
In both manuscripts, these bars are a literal repetition of b. 186-188 (they are not written out in full), and like there, staccato dots in b. 637 and 639 are reproduced only in GE1 and GE3. We do not include them into the main text in view of their possible deletion during the proofreading of FE (→EE). category imprint: Differences between sources issues: GE revisions , Authentic corrections of FE |

b. 640-641
|
composition: Op. 31, Scherzo in B♭ minor
..
Just like in b. 189, of which the discussed bar is an exact repetition, in the main text we add , most probably overlooked by inadvertence. The mark was also added in GE2 (→GE3). category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: GE revisions |
