The version of A is the original one, left by inadvertence: in an analogous situation, eight bars earlier, Chopin changed b2 to a2, and in the discussed bar he introduced an identical change in FC and FE. In the case of FE the change was introduced in the last phase of proofreading, not included in EE.

The slur of A (→FC) reaches the line ending b. 451, yet it does not go beyond it, so it is uncertain whether it is supposed to encompass the e minim in the next bar or not. In the main text we adopt the former as closer to the notation of analogous b. 349-350, in which the respective minim is certainly encompassed with a slur. This is how the slur was interpreted in FE (→EE), whereas in GE1 the slur ends on the last g note in b. 451.
In FE the slur begins already under the third of the top voice in b. 450, which is a patent inaccuracy.

In the main text we give the concordant pedalling of b. 452-453 and 456-457, entered by Chopin into FC (→GE1) and added by him in the proofreading of FE (→EE). The version of GE2 is an arbitrary revision, making those bars similar to b. 350-351 and 354-355. GE3 restored the version of FC and GE1.
