b. 88-90

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt II

..

Like in bars 39 and 41, in FE (→EE,GE1GE2), there are accidentals before the 2nd semiquaver in the 2nd half of bars 88 and 90, repeated after the last semiquaver in the 1st half. The superfluous signs were removed in GE3.

Fingering written into FEH

No teaching fingering

The fingering of the sequence of thirds written in FEH is confirmed by a compliant entry in FES and in the fragment based on the chromatic sequence of minor thirds also by the Chopinesque fingering in the Etude in G minor, op. 25, no. 6, bar 5 (semiquavers 11-13) and bar 18. Due to this reason, we include it in the main text.

In FES, there is a  added before fon the 3rd beat of the bar. The mark is of a cautionary nature, facilitating an a prima vista performance of this fragment. Marks of a similar function are present also in bars 91, 92 and 98.

The missing  hairpin is probably an oversight of the engraver of GE. There is also a possibility that Chopin added the marking in the last phase of proofreading of FE (→EE).
