Slurs

b. 558

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

Slur to d3 in FE (→EE,GE1GE2)

Slur to b3 in GE3

..

A comparison with two subsequent bars points to an inaccurate slur of the majority of the sources. In the main text, we include the correction of GE3.

b. 560-561

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

No slurs in FE (→GE)

3 slurs in EE

..

The slurs of EE are an arbitrary addition of the reviser.

b. 562-563

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

Separate slurs in FE (→GE,EE)

Continuous slur suggested by the editors

..

The division of the slur, not related in any way to the course of music, must be an inaccuracy. In the main text, we suggest a continuous slur modelled after the slur in analogous bars 211-214.

b. 564-565

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

Continuous slur in FE (→EE)

Separate slurs in GE

..

The separation of the slurs over the barline probably results from lack of space – in GE, the slur in bars 565-566 did not fit over the notes and was led at the bottom, which forced a break of the slur.

b. 567-568

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

Slur in bar 567 in FE

2 slurs in EE & GE3

Slur in bars 567-568 suggested by the editors

..

The missing slur over bar 568 must be considered an inaccuracy. The slur added in EE and GE3 is a revision that is easiest to implement in print. In the main text, we suggest a two-bar-long slur modelled after the authentic slur in analogous bars 216-217.
