Slurs
b. 471
|
composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I
..
The slur could have been added in FED, see the note in bar 470; it reaches the 2nd crotchet in the bar. According to us, it is, however, highly likely that Chopin wanted to use it to emphasise the d1-e1 step in the tenor voice. category imprint: Graphic ambiguousness; Differences between sources |

b. 486
|
composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I
..
In the main text, we suggest the slur written by Chopin in analogous bars 1-2. The absence of any kind of slurs in the first 11 bars of the recapitulation is a proof of inadvertence of the engraver (or perhaps of Chopin himself). A similar addition was introduced in EE; however, in that case it was the entire first bar that was encompassed with a slur. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions |
