b. 215-217

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

..

In bar 215, there is no  raising d1 to din FE. There is a similar situation in bar 217, where, in addition, there is no  raising d to d. These patent inaccuracies were corrected in the remaining editions.

b. 215

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

..

The cautionary  before ais present in FE (→EE) and GE3. The absence of the mark in GE1 (→GE2) may indicate that it was added in the last proofreading of FE.
In EE, a  was added before f1, which seems to be poorly justified in this context.

Fontana's fingering in EE

..

In the main text we include the fingering digit written probably by Chopin into FEFo. Fontana's fingering is undoubtedly compliant with this annotation. It does not influence the evaluation of its authenticity – according to us, the likelihood that Fontana had any authentic source concerning this issue at his disposal is marginal.

Fingering in EE & written into FEH

..

The fingering digits present in EE and FEH and those written in FED and FEFo undoubtedly denote the same fingering. In the main text, we give the indications whose authenticity is most likely (FEFo and FED).
